Restaurant Review: Curio
So, Curio was a little jewel I wasn’t expecting to find. I was simply searching for a restaurant with outdoor seating because it was so nice and what I found was much more. Perfect weather for a cocktail. I elected to have a local favorite—the Hurricane, with extra passion fruit. The fried turkey necks in a teriyaki chili glaze was amazing! When Lost for a Hotel, Look… East, Miami
Miami is just that– Miami. You are always going to find a good time no matter where you look. Amazing shopping, beautiful beaches, crazy nightlife are all walking distances of each other. While I like to have fun, I love to rest even more. You need a great hotel while away. And if you are going to Miami, you MUST stay at East, Miami. The room was perfect. The Essence [Weekend] of Life
So, now that I have had time to recoup from the longest event weekend of my life, I am ready to share how great the past weekend actually was. Essence Festival 2018 brought 510,000 people into the city of New Orleans. Along with that, there was close to $1 billion spent in the city as well. I’m sure the hit movie Girls’ Trip had something to do with many women groups in matching shirts and color coordinated outfits.
