Restaurant Review: Curio

So, Curio was a little jewel I wasn’t expecting to find. I was simply searching for a restaurant with outdoor seating because it was so nice and what I found was much more. Perfect weather for a cocktail. I elected to have a local favorite—the Hurricane, with extra passion fruit.

The fried turkey necks in a teriyaki chili glaze was amazing! Crispy on the outside flavorful and juicy on the inside. Meat falling off the bone.

For round two, I had the catch of the day which was grilled sheepshead topped with toasted pecans with garlic rice and charred kale. Yum! The plate was cleared instantly!

Lastly, and certainly the best, (full disclosure: I pick restaurants based on their dessert menu) café au lait crème brulee topped with fresh berries and a beignet.

The servers were also so nice. I care about good service because it adds to the overall experience. The French Quarter is a part of New Orleans that people flock to. It’s rich in history, music, food, and drinks. Do some people watching while you’re eating on the balcony of Curio. After you’re done, go walking along the streets and explore galleries filled with local are and antique treasures. You never know what treasures you’ll find.
