    No Words to Say

Lately, I have not much to say because I’ve been dedicating more time to reflect and disconnect. I am not going through anything in particular other than being a little under the weather. I think my body is telling me to take a break. This month seems so long, but it has been very beneficial. I started this year off focused. I dedicated my energy towards only productive things. My 2-minute rule is still in effect. I cut down my screen time, spent more awareness in the moments, dedicated more time to movement, and listened more without offering input. In my quietness, I have found clarity and motivation to advance…

What’s the big deal with Juicing?

Monday I did a 24-hour juice cleanse which sparked a lot of conversation around the office. Lately, with all the fad dieting everyone wants to try the latest diet trend, but for me juicing is different. It’s vital for me to listen to my body. When I can’t shake the feeling of being bloated or know I haven’t been eating well, I cleanse. This gives it time to break down the things in my system and the chance to rest. A Rebbl with a Cause

Sometimes I am running late out of the door or can use a snack throughout the day. I don’t drink dairy and when I am fasting, I have very strict dietary restrictions. This plant-based elixir I found is my new favorite treat. These Rebbl drinks are made by a company with a cause with was just an added bonus. The only one that wasn’t my favorite was the cold brew coffee and that’s because I have very particular coffee standards being from New Orleans, but everything else was delicious! The Reishi…

Berries & Bubbles Cocktail x Happy Hour

Smokey and bubbling cocktail are a must try! So, when I saw the lady across the room getting a martini glass full of smoke. I wanted one, too! But I thought maybe this drink would be better at happy hour. Happy Hour should be just that, happy! For a good happy hour you should consider: atmosphere (what vibe are you going for? quiet? lively?) price (look for 2 for 1 specials or half price specials) menu variety (small bites are a plus) A quick cocktail is a way of life in some places. Business deals, new projects, friends meeting for the first time in a long time, are all occasions…

    Restaurant Review: Curio

So, Curio was a little jewel I wasn’t expecting to find. I was simply searching for a restaurant with outdoor seating because it was so nice and what I found was much more. Perfect weather for a cocktail. I elected to have a local favorite—the Hurricane, with extra passion fruit. The fried turkey necks in a teriyaki chili glaze was amazing! Crispy on the outside flavorful and juicy on the inside. Meat falling off the bone. For round two, I had the catch of the day which was grilled sheepshead topped with toasted pecans with garlic rice and charred kale. Yum! The plate was cleared instantly! Lastly, and certainly the…
