Berries & Bubbles Cocktail x Happy Hour

Smokey and bubbling cocktail are a must try! So, when I saw the lady across the room getting a martini glass full of smoke. I wanted one, too! But I thought maybe this drink would be better at happy hour.

Happy Hour should be just that, happy! For a good happy hour you should consider:

  • atmosphere (what vibe are you going for? quiet? lively?)
  • price (look for 2 for 1 specials or half price specials)
  • menu variety (small bites are a plus)

A quick cocktail is a way of life in some places. Business deals, new projects, friends meeting for the first time in a long time, are all occasions for a cocktail. Just remember to keep your wits about you (especially if you’re trying to close a deal).

If a happy hour is really good, I try a new drink. Always, search for the main part of the cocktail, the alcohol type. Then, I look for the main mix which is usually a juice or soda. Finally, the bitter. On occasions, a quick google search of the bitter can help clarify a specific taste if you haven’t heard of it before. Or ask you bartender.

But, back to the Berries & Bubbles. Honestly, it looked better than it tasted. It was more like a sangria with champagne. Not really sure it was worth the $15.
