    Best Bag of Blue Chips

Terra Blues are a must especially, if you are traveling on the go! I first had them on a Delta flight mixed with sweet potato chips. Those are also very good. I thought it was one of those specialty foods that you could only find on flights until one-day *fanfare music* there they were. In the check out isle in Walgreens! I grabbed two bags and ate one on my way back to the hotel. The chips are made from the blue potatoes so they have more nutrients than the regular potatoes with the same great taste. At least I tell myself that in my mind to justify how often I…

The Guide to Dealing With Stress: Keep Calm and Carry On

Recently, Instagram had the horrible idea of posting the “Ask Me a Question” badge. Of course, this gave people a reason to stress how important they thought they were. I posted the same badge followed by a series of story post stating that I actually hate questions. And everyone would do well to mind their business. As if that would ever happen, especially on social media. Nonetheless, I got a few laughs (which I was ultimately going for) and one question which made me rethink my don’t ask, don’t answer stance. The Essence [Weekend] of Life

So, now that I have had time to recoup from the longest event weekend of my life, I am ready to share how great the past weekend actually was. Essence Festival 2018 brought 510,000 people into the city of New Orleans. Along with that, there was close to $1 billion spent in the city as well. I’m sure the hit movie Girls’ Trip had something to do with many women groups in matching shirts and color coordinated outfits. My favorite group name was the “BrideHive.” Shout out to y’all… I stan for Beyonce as well. The music is always a highlight, it is a festival after all. This year, Miguel, H.E.R.,…

    The City of Brotherly Love

I randomly explored Philadelphia City Hall where Mother’s Day was first observed by Anne Jarvis. Besides an historical landmark, City Hall itself is an amazing structure. Its grandeur and architectural detailing is something to admire. Each hall leading to the center courtyard is different in style. Each having an artist that has taken temporary residency in its halls. From the interactive water fountains outside to the fellow-shipping courtyard within, and the 11-foot statue of William Penn atop (the largest statues atop any building in the world), this historic Penn Square is all that it should be as the American Institute of Architects list of Americans’ 150 favorite U. S. structure.…

What Does It Really Mean to Be Selfish?

Growing up as an only child, naturally I never was required to share much or think about how my actions affected others.  People traditionally labeled me selfish. It was easy living on autopilot growing into adolescence, teenage years, and, early adulthood. I did exactly what I had always done to sustain a fulfilling life. As I grew to form and keep relationships with those around me things changed. I found that while turning off autopilot to foster meaningful connections wasn’t hard, it did require a lot of work. More often than not, being new to these experiences drained me mentally, physically, and emotionally. At one point, my energy just felt…
