Aerial Reflection

Small plane tours are my new favorite things. Talk about different perspective! I had been around the city for a week, walking all of it and it wasn’t until I was high in the sky that I saw a whole new place.

Places that I walked blocks and blocks to get to were simply two blocks away had I gone left instead of right. I saw the layout of the city lead to the museum. The bricked part of the city outlines the water making it seem like a town within a town. I loved it, all of it!

And it was up there looking at all God’s splendor that I felt overwhelmed with an appreciation of life. As the sun was setting and the trees rolled into the water, and the water back into the city, I understood that no matter how boring life seems at times, its always the perspective that brings us anew.

We are but a part of something much bigger than us and we get caught up walking our same route every day and missing our there’s a much larger labyrinth that’s interwoven to create new paths for us that we just don’t take.

Why? Not because we’re scared or busy, but because we just don’t. We get comfortable in our ways and miss out on the other journeys that may still take us to the same place. So, next time I left my hotel, I turned left instead of right. I came back to a different route than I took. Life is vast and I want to experience as much as I can of it.
