Write a Vision. Make it Plain.

What’s your next goal? You got the vision in your head? Good. Now, how do you get there?

Can you put it into words? What are the steps you need to take?

Until, you are able to look at a clear guide of what you want to do and how you intent to accomplish your goal or vision, there is a very strong chance you will not achieve it. That is sad considering the only thing getting in the way is you.

Writing your vision down allows you to plainly see what you want to do. Writing the steps creates a plan to how to get it down. In each of the steps you should have clear objectives to measure attainability.

Your plan will also allow you to go back to the drawing board to see what needs to be readjusted. There will be hiccups, but you shouldn’t throw the whole plan away. You will just need to re-calibrate.

Most importantly, writing your vision and the steps to accomplish it will help you jump start your projects with less anxiety. Writing a list keeps you focused and allows you to prioritize.

Your steps will also work as positive affirmations.

If you know you have to organize emails first thing in the morning to achieve your goal of being more organized at work, write it down. Now, you are telling yourself “I will be more organized by going through emails first thing in the morning.” The key part being; “I will be more organized!”

Be concise.

Another key to these steps is having clear goals with action and with a time frame.

What do you want to do? Be more organized. How will you do it?  By checking emails. When will you do it?  In the morning.

So, start now! What do you want to do? What will it take? Write it down. Go do it.
