I Am in Control

Saturday is I am in Control Day. This should be an international holiday for us! What a great day to celebrate being selfish by getting our lives more in order and minimizing the feeling of being “out of control.”

As we end the first quarter of the year, we must maintain control of our journey for the next part of the year. We should have a clear vision for the rest of our year and have the plans in place to get them done.

You don’t need to have specifics in place but look at what you have accomplished thus far. What would you like to change or add to your plate? Implement more helpful tools to keep control.

Remember that this journey of life is what you make it. If we stop blaming other things and people for our situations and find our fingerprint on them, we gain control and structure our destiny.

Start Here

  • Make a list of things you want to do
  • Be confident in your decision making
  • Use calendars and daily planners
  • Declutter
  • Meditate and exercise regularly
  • Talk with a trusted adviser or friend
  • Take time away
  • Tackle one project at a time
  • Ask for help

Saturday is the day where you start to implement these steps to help guide you through the rest of the year. Take a breath and get to it!

You don’t need to start all these things at once. You may also feel like you don’t need to do any of these things. If you do feel like you are in control, help someone else by sharing this list with them.
