Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse

A New Orleans staple, Ruth’s Christ Steakhouse is know for its butter steaks and extremely hot plates. I remember growing up, going to “Ruth’s Chris,” as the locals call it, at least once a month. I am not only a meat eater, I am a red meat lover. The bloodier the better!

If you’re ever in New Orleans, you must go. If you’re looking for a scene the Ruth’s Chris bar is the place to be on Fulton Street Downtown. It is full service and has a very appealing appetizer. If you want a quieter and more intimate setting, go to the Ruth’s Chris in Metairie. Not only does it have a quieter ambiance, it has a hidden treat on the menu.

If you are into desserts, the apple crumble is something you have been missing your whole life. The thick buttery crust  and the apple filling is hot and sweet. the crumples on top mix perfectly with the melting ice cream. It used to be on all the Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse menus when I was growing up. Now, this is the only location I can find it and they don’t advertise it.

If you’re full after your meal, get it to go. It’s worth it. You’re Welcome!
